This is collectively due to environmental legislation, the Kyoto protocol, the implementation of the new Air Quality and Waste Management Bills, ClayBrick’s involvement with the Green Building Council and its commitment to sustainable building, following conclusive evidence that Clay Bricks are more environmentally friendly than any other building material in South Africa.

Goedehoop Stene has been in business since the early1980’s. It was a family business that has been passed on to the next generation in 1997. We have recently welcomed Umbumbano Mining Trust as our BEE partner. We are proud to mention that we where recently scored as a level 5 company with a rating of 80%. At Goedehoop Stene we have a warm family feel, together with a high level of professionalism. Goedehoop Stene spends a lot of time and effort to uplift our work force and community charity projects.
Our business is situated on the farm Goedehoop on the R33, 20 km from Wonderfontein N4 in the direction of Carolina, ± 60 km east of Middelburg.

Clay brick suitable for use, plastered or un-plastered, for general building work, below damp-proof, under damp conditions or bellow ground level where durability rather then aesthetics is the criterion for selection.

FBA
Colour: Brown to blue colour
Size of brick: 72 x 106 x 222mm (500/pallet)
Clay bricks are selected for their durability and aesthetic effect deriving from non-uniformity of size, shape and colour. Can also be used for paving.

MAXI-STOCK
(Quantum) Stock
Colour: Pink to light brown colour
Size of brick: 90 x 140 x 288mm (250/pallet)
Outside walls must be plastered to protect the brick from the weather. Stock brick absorbs moisture quickly and creating a good bond between the brick. This also dry out the mortar quicker resulting in less drying time. The size of the brick matches building regulations for a single brick wall, used for housing projects and perimeter walls.
NFP Maxi Stocks minimum compressive strength required 7mpa – Goedehoop Stene average 12mpa
MAXI-ROK
(Quantum) ROK
(Run out of kiln)
Colour: Brown to blue colour
Size of brick: 90x 140x 288mm (250/pallet)
Can be used to build face brick walls, outside bricks need no protection against the elements. The size of the brick matches the building regulations for a single brick wall.
Maxi bricks are popularly used for housing projects.
